A screen broadcasts the shuttle takeoffs in real time. The players take on the role of passengers aboard the shuttle, and their objective is to exit in time before it flies into space.
The longer participants remain on board, the higher their potential winnings. However, no one knows beforehand how long the shuttle will remain airborne before vanishing over the horizon. Participants must make a choice: take a smaller amount early or wait for a larger sum, risking the possibility of winning nothing.
To control their game, each participant receives a joystick or mouse. By pressing the buttons, they can place bets or "jump" out of the shuttle.

TV-Pilot does not require the hiring of additional cashiers. Players can top up their balances and place bets on each flight independently. Deposits and withdrawals are processed through a separate tab in the cashier program.
